Cowbell Shuffle

Synopsis: The Cowbell Shuffle concept was developed on a car ride observing some grazing cows. What do they do when they gather together out in the field. The Cowbell Shuffle started as a rock n roll tune created by the band Killer Moose and then it became a Music Video Animation. The animation has been in production since 2013. Many of my fellow musicians, family, friends and students have been waiting for this WORK to be DONE. So like the boy who called "wolf" I promised this animation would be completed in a year and then next year, and next year...... I can finally say HERE IT IS! I'm hoping cow lovers across America and around the world get the opportunity to enjoy this silly animation! MMoooo, MMMoooooo!

Bio: Michael Schwab’s animation journey started back in 1973 at the Kansas City Art Institute producing the “Channel 19 Auction Spot” as a senior and winning first prize Public Service TV Spot at the Long Island Intl Film Festival, 1975. From there he was hired at The Animators, a Pittsburgh, PA based animation studio, and contributed as an animation stand operator and asst. animator, 1977-1979. He moved on to co-found Kensington Falls Animation as a producer, director, animator, and production artist, 1979-present.

The studio produced many successful commercials and scoreboard animations with the help of many talented artists and continues with Mike as a solo producer. Past notable works include: “Meet Your Liver”, Internet Web Series, (Feb 2021); “The Cowbell Shuffle”, Animated Short, (Sept 2020); “The Childless Woman’s Guide to Raising Children”, Internet Web Series, (Feb 2020); “Tom’s Life”, Animation Pilot, Network Cartoon Series for the FOX Network, (Feb 2011); Pittsburgh Pirates Scoreboard 2D Animation (1985-2011), Awarded Golden Matrix Award (1991); “Timmy’s Journey to Understanding MS”, AIP Production Team Project, Awarded Community Service Project by the PA Association of Private School Administrators, (2005); “Lou and Costa’s Burglar Welcome Mat”, debuted on MTV Cartoon Sushi (June 2000), appeared at the Sundance Film Festival (Jan 2001), and Nicktoons Cartoon Festival (Nov 2004); Pittsburgh Penguins TV Commercials, (1984-1995), Telly Award for Best Animation(1988-1989).

Bio: Elmano Diogo was born on the 9th of September, in Funchal, on the island of Madeira.
He lived in Machico, studied in the computing area, and completed a bachelor’s degree in Interactive Media Design, at the University of Madeira.
In 2017, he moved to Lisbon and completed the master's degree in Animation Arts, in Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias de Lisboa.

Synopsis: To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dante's death, I drew the love story of Paolo and Francesca in the Divine Comedy based on the Divine Comedy, Inferno, Chapter 5 'Legend Love story of ''Paolo and Francesca''. This is a forbidden love that is not blessed. Francesca fell in love with her husband's brother Paolo. Her husband found an affair and killed them. After their death, they were tortured by the wind every day in hell, but they still loved each other and hugged each other tightly. I was deeply moved by their love. With Chinese traditional painting style, I try to explore Dante's hell in my heart, hoping to present a new style for this shining love after 700 years.

Sea Shepherd

The film has excerpts from Captain Paul Watson's TedTalk, founder and president of the organization called Sea Shepherd, who uses direct action to protect ocean life.

Bio: Born in Lisbon in 1991, Débora Mendes had her initial training in health care.
She is currently studying Cinema de Animação at the Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. In her films, she likes to mix animation techniques: Reverso (live-action and 2D animation) and Sea Shepherd (2D animation and stop motion). She is also interested in the areas of illustration, painting, and photography.
She is currently doing her internship in Sardinha em Lata.

Seven Bones

Bio: Heidi Neff is Professor of Art + Design at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland, where she was granted a sabbatical to work on animations for the Spring semester of 2020. Despite headaches of online teaching, small children, and a love/hate relationship with technology, Heidi makes apocalyptic animations with a hand-drawn/hand-painted aesthetic. Heidi earned her MFA from University of Iowa and her BFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She makes her home in Maryland with her husband, Paul Chuffo, and their two children, Max and Maya.

Bio: Margot Cavret was born in Rennes, in 1995. She began her studies with an HND in light and camera for television and cinema, which she validated in 2014, and during which she directed her first short film, entitled La Source. She also occasionally participated in a web series entitled Les Madlord, as director of photography, cameraman, and actress.
After a year of theoretical studies, validating a license in Cinema History at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, she resumed practical studies, taking a master’s degree in nature and environment documentary filmmaking, in 2016. She directed several short documentaries there: Les Plumes du Rivage, which she co-directed with two other students, then Jamais Plus, her graduation film. She pursues her interest in environmental documentaries by co-directing, during her first year of studies at ENS Louis-Lumière, the short film Ahmed et Les Oiseaux.

Bio: Wrik Mead has accumulated a unique body of more than forty animated miniature narratives: queer fantasies, parables, dreams, and even documentaries. His films are psycho-dramatic by inclination, first-person narratives of desire and accommodation. They're a mix of painstaking animation, fairy-tale allegory, and queer identity.
