Trinity Rollins | US

Synopsis: An experimental short film using elements of animation and lyrical motion to bring to life the poem of the same title, written by Walt Whitman. A story of isolation and the attempt to conquer it.

Bio: Trinity Rollins is a senior filmmaking student at Marshall University. She is working toward her BA in Video Production, with a minor in Studio Art. Her work thrives on its variety, as there is very little Rollins is not willing to try creatively. Her films' subject matter often stem from her own life experience, ranging from her childhood as a dancer to her mental health journey. She especially loves finding ways to include tactile, traditional art elements in her digital media. Her works have been selected in the WV Mountaineer Short Film Festival (2023, 2024) and the Localization Film Festival (2023). Additionally, she is a 1st place winner of the Marshall University Student Film Festival (2024), and a 3rd place winner of Huntington's 72 Hour Film Challenge (2023).

This short film is an animation about a person dancing, I hope it can be as cool as possible! This was also my first attempt to use blender to make a 3D animation film. Cory must choose to please his father or embrace a new art identity.

Bio: Logan Minett grew up in Hedgesville, West Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Video Production at Marshall University. Originally studying at BlueRidge Technical Institute for Software Development and Shepherd University for Communications, Logan transferred due to the pandemic and sought more in person experience in filmmaking. His first film experience was in 2019 with R.P.G. [Realistically Playing Game], entered into the International Film Festival, reaching to the international level with a “Superior” ranking. He considers his greatest skills to be within the post-production phase of projects, specializing in editing and animating.

I filmed and animated the short film "Fall" to emulate the feelings I attribute towards the season. Specifically, the piece explores the yard of my childhood home in the midst of the trees dropping their orange and yellow leaves. As slightly anonymous subject explores their surroundings, whimsical rotoscoping and calming music of Mac DeMarco help create a simple yet fun film.

Bio: My name is Kat Skillings, and I am currently going to WVU for Art Education with an emphasis in Painting. I really love creating paintings, but other artistic hobbies I also love are character creation, animating, photography and filmmaking! After creating my first short film "Fall", I have realized I really enjoy creating in this medium and I hope to do explore it more in the future.

Bio:
Lake Terre is an Actor, Filmmaker, and Content Creator from Chino Hills, California. Beginning in preschool, Lake has been a part of various school productions, local community theatre, and showcases. He has studied at Upland’s Seventh Street Community Theatre and Ovation School for the Performing Arts. Lake is currently majoring in Film at Cal Poly Humboldt while producing his own content on his YouTube channel "Filmmxker".

 

Metamorphose

This obsession and desire are expressed in different situations. Through each door, humans can observe their desires. I would like to express love, knowledge, appearance, sense, and freedom using different technologies. An audience can achieve objectification just by observing and humbly accepting those desires.

Bio: London &Seoul based media artist and animator, Yangyoongab makes animation, installation and visuals. Media artist Yangyoongab is an animator who wants to share time with the audience.

She wants to communicate her own story of the time that is given equally to everyone, and provide her audience with the experience of being in the same space within that time. She also approaches the audience with a performance that combines music and videos on the outer wall of the building, a space where people always stay, to create a new world.
